We are each blessed with talents and abilities and with opportunities to develop them. Our Heavenly Father expects us to use our talents for the benefit of others as well as for ourselves. Much joy can come to us and those about us when we use our talents for righteous purposes. As we use them righteously, they will expand and new opportunities and abilities will develop. It is important for us to remember that our talents are gifts from God and that He holds us responsible for what we do with them. “Find some time for yourself to cultivate your gifts and interests. Pick one or two things that you would like to learn or do that will enrich your life, and make time for them. Water cannot be drawn from an empty well, and if you are not setting aside a little time for what replenishes you, you will have less and less to give to others, even to your children. Avoid any kind of substance abuse, mistakenly thinking that it will help you accomplish more. And don’t allow yourself to be caught up in the time-wasting, mind-numbing things like television soap operas or surfing the Internet. Turn to the Lord in faith, and you will know what to do and how to do it. “Elder M. Russell Ballard
Challenge:
Examine your interests, seeking for a new talent; then develop it. Encourage your family members to discover and develop their talents. Start out little with 15 minutes a day just for you and then slowly add more time, try to work up to an hour a day.

Thanks Heather! We enjoyed your class!

Get your gun ready! It's GNO!!

Our GNO this month will be shooting at the gun range Wednesday, June 24 at 6pm. Lana Black is our fearless host so RSVP to her. Below is a message from Lana; feel free to contact her if you have any questions.

All day on Wednesday is free for ladies (all other days it is $10/hour). We must have eye/ear protection. If we don't have it we can rent for $1.00. Targets are available for rent. About $0.25 and up. If someone wants to rent a gun, the first is $10.00 and the second is $5.00. Pistols only and rifles that shoot only .22 caliber. I spoke with the manager and he said that we can come on in anytime on Wednesday. We can't reserve the range on that date because it is ladies night. I have the correct website below. The link is directly for the range rules. Since they close at 8pm, we probably should change the time to 6pm. Ammo is pretty cheap at Wal-Mart-2 boxes of 9mm is only $19.02 (I always buy 2 at a time just because).

Thanks bunches!
Lana
